Memorial Belgian Cavalry and Armored Troops

Inaugurated by King Baudouin on June 17, 1961, this memorial commemorates the sacrifices of the cavalry during the Independence Campaign (1830) and during the two World Wars.

Heir to the traditions of the cavalry, the armored division of the army holds a memorial here every year on St. George's Day.

The commissioner for this monument was the non-profit organization "Cavalerie", the executors were sculptor Maurice Waucquez and architect Philibert Schommblood.
