Memorial Queen Elisabeth

At the foot of the Saint-Donat church, a bust of Queen Elisabeth stands in the courtyard named after her.
She wears the nurse's uniform, a reference to the First World War where, from the first days, she took an active role in the care of wounded soldiers.
The Belgian soldiers called her the "queen nurse".

Text on the plinth:

Erected September 21, 1947
by the city of Arlon
with the dedicated help
of the Belgian Red Cross
