Memorial Café Scheers
This place once stood at the Scheers café. It is also the place where on September 28, 1944, a German bomb, destined for the Waal bridge, caused a war drama.
Two families, the Janssen-van Woesik family and the Scheers-Philipsen family, a total of twenty-two people plus a casual passer-by were killed in this drama.
