Memorial for José Paul en Anatole Ostrevski

Along a forest road, Rue du Roptai at No. 45, is a memorial to two victims of Nazism.

Text on the memorial:
("Here were murdered on August 16, 1944 José PAUL (22 years old) armed resistance and
Anatole OSTREVSKI (20 years old), Russian soldier. Victims of Nazism. ")

PAUL José was born in Forrières on May 1, 1922. He was a member of the Resistance and was executed in Ave-et-Auffe on August 16, 1944.
OSTREVSKI Anatole was a Russian soldier born in 1924.
