War Memorial Lint

The war memorial of Lint was originally built on June 21, 1925 at the instigation of the N.S.B. erected next to the entrance of the church, and financed by the drama department "Law and Freedom" which was specially founded in 1920. The design by E. Ramont, was initially rejected by the provincial committee of monuments and landscapes because it was considered too banal . Subject to some changes, it was executed by sculptor Léon Englebin from Ecaussines D’Enghien. In 1980 the monument was moved to its current location on Oudstrijdersplein.

The monument consists of a bronze statue of a soldier on duty on a high bluestone base with inscriptions.
