Memorial Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche

In 1987 a museum hall was opened to visitors. The Schwechten memorial hall, which survived the bombing relatively well, was opened to the public. The vault mosaics give a sense of the magnificence of the sunken church - the cracks have been intentionally left visible. Rescued pieces of furniture, photo documentation of the history of the place and the Coventry nail cross also set an example against war and for reconciliation.
