Plaque Crashed Pilot Dover Fleming (1943)

This plaque reminds us of the young pilot Dover Fleming, who crashed on October 8, 1943 with his plane, a P-47 Thunderbolt.
The aircraft was attacked by fighters, while on a mission to escort B-17s attacking at Bremen, Germany and crashed into the Zuider Zee (Ijsselmeer) near Amsterdam, Holland.

The plaque is placed at the Memorial P.F. Bierman and J. Kars.
