Belgian War Graves Basècles

The cemetery in Basècles contains the graves of military victims of the First World War.

These are the graves of, among others: SAUVAGE Georges Alexis, Fortem 9 May 1915; DAUCHOT Edgard Alfred, Oostnieuwkerke 1 October 1918; LEMBOURG Maurice Aimé, Hoogstade 26 February 1918; SAUVAGE Fernand Laurent, Oostrozebeke 18 October 1918; SURMONT Privat, Meulebeke 17 October 1918.

The cemetery in Basècles also contains the graves of civilian victims of the Second World War. These are the graves of resistance fighters and political prisoners, including DESTREBECQ Gaston; GORS Alfred and GAMBIER Etienne.

There are also graves of civilians who died in aerial bombardments during the Second World War: DESTREBECQ Louisa and DESTREBECQ Gabrielle.
