Belgian War Graves Ophoven

The cemetery in Ophoven contains the grave of a military victim of the Korean War (1950-1953). It concerns VERHEYDEN Jean, fallen at Chatkoll, Korea, on 8 April 1953.

There is the grave of VAN AKEN Jos, sergeant V.V.E. 10th Wing at Kleine-Brogel, who died in the plane crash at Sake-Masisi (Congo) on 19 July 1960.
41 soldiers were killed in that crash, including 36 members of the VVE 10th Wing Air Force and the five crew members of the C-119 Flying Boxcar.
