Radio Bearing Station Schneeglöckchen Schagen

In the middle of 1940 the Germans built a so-called Jägerleitstelle Schneeglöckchen on the Kanaalweg in Schagen, which served as a radio bearing station. The building that is still present today was the Auswertung gebäude where the data was processed. Around this building were several Y-pillars. Through these pillars it was possible to maintain contact with the Luftwaffe. The position belonged to Radio Dienststelle de Kooy which was located in Den Helder. Yet the command was carried out from Bergen.
