Resistance Museum "Le Perdreau - De Patrijs"

Resistance museum Le Perdreau - De Patrijs is open every first Sunday of the month between 10:00 and 14:00. Admission is free.

This unique local war museum houses documents and photographs from the private archives of the late Alfred Noteboom, founder of the refuge 'Le Perdreau - De Patrijsí as well as from foreign family-collections.

Plane-crashes in Aaigem, Outer, Bavegem, Moerbeke-Waas and Haaltert and hiding and ontsnappingslijnen during WWII in relation to the Haaltert refuge are highlighted by unique photos / documents and historical objects. Secret messages to England, false passports and stamps used by the Haaltert refuge complete the collection as well as radios and sending equipment.

Also on view are the plaques for the Dutch refugees after Operation Market Garden.
