War Memorial Ramsdorf

In the town of Ramsdorf, municipality of Velen, on the south side of Ramsdorf castle, there is a monument consisting of a sandstone wall with columns and in the middle an image of Jesus with a kneeling soldier at his feet. Both sides of the effigy are plaques of the victims of both wars.

An inscription on the monument;
"Cenotaph
1914 – 1918
The house of their fallen sons"

Next to the stone monument against the wall of the castle are 2 bronze plaques with the names of killed and missing inhabitants.
Here too an inscription at the foot of the plaques;
"In memory of the victims of the displaced"
