Musée Memoire 1939-1945

Former Marine Kommando bunker (Widerstandsnest 13), a MAKO-bunker of the German Kriegsmarine. Located in the middle of the park bounded of shopping streets, this bunker houses the museum since 1962. The museum was formerly also known as the Musée de la Guerre 1940-1945.

The large bunker is divided into 21 rooms and each room has its own theme, of which a fair few are related to Calais. The museum maintains a wide variety of objects, uniforms and other historical collectables. You are guided through the museum with a digital guide (telephone type), also in English.
