Heeres-Küsten-Batterie Mont Coquerel

Heeres-Küsten-Batterie Mont Coquerel was build in 1943 and armed with four 10.5cm K.331(f) - Canon de 105 mle 1913 Schneider – guns. These were housed in R671 bunkers and manned by the 4th battery of A.R. 1261.
On June 10, 1944, they sank the American destroyer USS Glennon. The battery was captured on the 14th of June, by elements of the US 4th Infantry Division.
