Widerstandsnest 18 ( ex Wn 106 ) le Havre Quinéville

Widerstandsnest 18, sometimes referred as a "Stützpunkt", however there is no prove of it,
was manned by 8. Kompanie, II./Grenadier-Regiment 919, 709. Infanterie-Division.
It consisted of the following bunkers :
R667 bunker, now integrated in the World War 2 Museum
An R612 is converted into a bar / restaurant.
Furthermore there was an R656, R668, MG Scharte (8), Panzerturm R35 and a Panzerturm S35.
Most of the anti-tank wall is also still present
Quinéville and surroundings were liberated on June 14, 1944 by elements of the U.S. 4th division.
