Memorials Gate to Memorial Place Haaren

On the gate to the former Polizeigefängnis und Untersuchungs Gefängnis in Haaren are various plaques and ornaments made in memory of the victims who are deceased in this prison.

On left monument this text:

Under this monument is a plaque with this text:

Unveiled on May 8, 2010 to mark the
10-year anniversary of the Memorial Place Haaren


Under the right monument hangs a memorial plaque with the text:

THIS MONUMENT AND THIS POEM REMEMBER
1940-1945
THIS BUILDING WAS USED BY THE GERMANS
FROM 1942 TO OCTOBER 1944
TO PRISON RESISTANCE PARTICIPANTS
IT COMMEMORATES THE MANY WHO WHERE
EXECUTED HERE OR AFTER TRANSFERMENT
OR DIED IN GERMAN CAMPS.
