Memorial Lindenstraße 54/55 "Lindenhotel" Prison

This 19th-century prison at Lindenstraße 54/55 was nicknamed the ‘Lindenhotel’. During the Second World War, this prison was used by the Nazis, and after the war by the Russian occupying forces and later by the Stasi. Since 1995, the prison has been a memorial site and museum with permanent and temporary exhibitions about these periods.
