Former Execution Range "Laubhütte"

The "Laubhütte" was part of the Israelitic Horticulture School, which was used in the National Socialism era as Gestapo-prison. In the building, people were executed by hanging. Officially, 86 forced labors are executed here, but SS-personnel told that about 400 persons are executed.

On 6 April 1945, 154 inmates were brought to Seelhorst cemetery and murdered. The Laubhütte was burned down, to destroy evidence, on 10 April 1945 and the tree nearby still bears marks of the fire.

Now, there is a memorial.
