The Jewish Workers' Colony Weissensee was established in 1902. From 1923, the main building was used as accommodation for Jewish 'mentally disabled' people. In 1942, at least some of the residents were deported to the forced labor camp Trawniki and murdered there. In contrast, a monument on the wall of the building commemorates the gassing of 180 residents in 1943.
