This monument in the National Memorial Arboretum was unveiled by King Charles III in 2025. The monument is dedicated to LGBT military personnel currently serving in the armed forces, and to those who served at a time when homosexuality was illegal in the military. During this ban, which lasted until 2000, homosexuals – or people thought to be homosexual – faced intrusive investigations, dismissal and, in some cases, even imprisonment.
The bronze sculpture was designed by the Norfolk-based artists' collective Abraxas Academy.
