Communal Mass Grave with Cross 1870-71 and Two Steles

Existing mass grave in Woerth, containing the remains of an unknown number of French and German soldiers,
who were involved in the Battle of Woerth-Froeschwiller.
The stelae of Captain Louis Philippe Million and Martin Meuer are located in the mass grave.

The mass grave is located in row 7, next to the central alley.
In Woerth cemetery, there are three large mass graves with stone crosses,
identical and marked 1870-71, located a few meters apart.
A total of 320 French and German soldiers from the 1870/71 war are believed to be buried there.
