War Memorial Blessem

In the middle of the Blessem cemetery stands a memorial in memory of those who fell in the First and Second World Wars. The memorial consists of a central structure with a dark stone plaque attached to the front. This plaque features a metal relief depicting a scene of a warrior receiving Christ's blessing. Directly below, the eighteen names of those who fell in the First World War are honored. After the Second World War, the memorial was expanded. A second plaque is attached to the rear, bearing the names of forty-two victims and missing persons from the Second World War.
