Memorial Handley Page Halifax MZ715 Opheusden

In the Hall of the Town Hall of Opheusden, there is a propeller blade from the Handley Page Halifax bomber that crashed in Dodewaard on 17 June 1944. Next to the blade hangs a plaque in memory of Patrick Tiernan and Alfie Burns, two of the crew members of this Halifax who are buried in Dodewaard, and the medals donated by their families.
