War Memorial St Mary Church Amport

These plaques, inside the St Mary Church, commemorate the people of the parish who were killed or missing in World War I (17 names) and World War II (9 names).

Many of these memorials were erected after the First World War. After the Second World War, the names of those who died in that war were also added to the memorial.

Another plaque commemorates Augustus John Henry Beaumont Paulet, 15th Marquess of Winchester, who gave his life on 11 December 1899 in the Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902).
