War Memorial St John’s Chapel

This memorial commemorates the residents of St John’s Chapel who were killed or missing in World War I (18 names) and World War II (21 names). Seven airmen who died when their aircraft crashed at Green Laws in 1943, are also mentioned.

Many of these memorials were erected after the First World War. After the Second World War, the names of those who died in that war were also added to the memorial.
