German War Cemetery Jülich

This War Cemetery (Kriegsgräberstätte) started as an army cemetery in 1894. In de First World War 40 German soldiers were buried here.

From the Second World War 492 casualties were buried here. Most of them were German soldiers who died during the Battle of Aachen or the Battle of Hürtgen Forest or wounded soldiers who died in the hospitals. There are also graves of casualties of air strikes or artillery-fire. Among them are 56 Russians.
