War Memorial General Cemetery Schoonhoven

At the General Cemetery in Schoonhoven is the War Memorial of Schoonhoven.
It is a teak wooden cross with the text:1940 -1945.

Left of the monument are two memory stones of deceased Dutch soldiers,
Frans Heerens, 29-07-1945 in Bandjarmasin
Barend van der Scheur, 07-12-1946,Tandjong Priok.
They are buried elswhere.

To the right of the monument are four Dutch War graves, these are the graves of:
Willem Benschop, silversmith, died in Frankfurt on 21-05-1944
Jan Wernhard van den Bergh, resistance fighter, shot on the Waalsdorpervlakte on 13-03-1941
Arie Cornelis Kooij, factory worker, died in Lostau, (D) on 03-08-1943
Leendert Huisman, soldier, mil.onderdeel M.C.ll-1-R.W., died in Bleskensgraaf on 12-05-1940
