Dutch War Graves Catholic Cemetery Benschop

On the R.K. Cemetery behind the church in Benschop are the graves of the commander of the Dutch Interior Forces Herman Struik, a deserted Waffen SS man with the pseudonym "Piet Maas", and three Resistance fighters who died in what would later be called the "Drama of Benschop". A fourth member of the resistance is buried here, Theo Klever, farmer. He died in a firefight at the age of 25 on 13 February 1945.

The three remaining graves are from the resistance fighters executed on February 17, 1945:
Adrianus Antonius Klever, farmer, 21 years old
Arie Cornelis Klever, farmer, 23 years old
Adrianus Petrus van Vliet, farm worker, 25 years old

A street in Benschop is named after Theo Klever. The four members of the resistance are mentioned on the "Drama van Benschop" war memorial. This memorial stands in front of the farm where they died, Benedeneind Zuidzijde 361 in Benschop.
