Czechoslovakian War Grave Amsterdam

In The New Eastern Cemetery in Amsterdam is in the Commonwealth plot, a Czecho-Slovak war grave from World War II.
This is the grave of Flight Sergeant Arnost Elbogen, Royal Air Force.
He died on August 11, 1944 at age 24.

Elbogen served in the Royal Air Force, he flew the Spitfire AR441 against a pole when he attacked an enemy train. He crashed into Trichtseveld, near Geldermalsen. Elbogen later died at a hospital in Amsterdam from his wounds.
