Commonwealth War Graves Viersel
At the Churchyard near the church in Viersel, municipality Zandhoven, are two Commonwealth war graves from the Second World War. Both Welch Regiment. Both men died on 09.09.1944 during the liberation of the area. These are the graves of:
Private Ronald Charles Bird, 3468764, died at age 24.
Corporal David Thursby, 3963595, died at age 25.
