Memorial Destruction and Reconstruction Martinikirche Münster

During the Second World War, the Catholic St. Martini church in Münster was heavily damaged by air raids of RAF Bomber Command. The rebuilding of the church took place between 1950 and 1961. There is tried to restore the church with the same charm as before. This was achieved primarily through repair the church with original materials. Clearly visible is the repair of the church tower, which is repared with a lighter color stone (see photo).
