Belgian War Graves Aalst

Aalst Communal Cemetery contains Belgian War Graves of the Second World War. The graves are in a pelouse d'honneur. Amongst them are some Commonwealth War Graves.

The memorial at the cemetery of Aalst commemorates five resistance fighters who were executed in the concentration camp Brandenburg-Görden. It concerns DE COCK Edmond, 22 November 1943; GOVAERT Armand, 10 December 1943; ERNST Edouard, 22 November 1943; DESHOMMES Gustaaf, 22 November 1943; MATTHIEU Henri, 22 November 1943.
The monument contains ashes of the concentration camp Brandenburg-Görden.

The cemetery of Aalst contains two plots with graves of civilian war victims of the First and the Second World War.
