Dutch War Grave Protestant Churchyard Poederoijen

Poederoijen Protestant Churchyard contains one Dutch war grave. This is the grave of Adriaan van Zee. Adriaan was a smith as profession, during the war he also was a member of the Dutch resistance. Adriaan was executed in 'Fort De Bilt' on March 8th 1945, two months before the end of the war. He was buried in Utrecht and on July 5th 1945, after the war he was reburied in hometown Poederoijen. In Poederoijen a streetname is named after him, the 'A. van Zeestraat'.
