Air-raid Shelter Fichtestraße

This bunker (in German: Hochbunker) was build in an old gasometer. Up to 30,000 people could find shelter during bombardments in 770 windowless rooms on six levels. This was one of the biggest air-raid shelters in Berlin.

The bunker was renovated in 2008 and on top of it, apartments were build.

This "gasometer-bunker" can be visited through "Berliner Unterwelten e.V.".
