Commonwealth War Grave ‘s-Gravendeel

‘s-Gravendeel Old General Cemetery contains one Commonwealth war grave of the Second World War, buried together with Dutch soldiers. A memorial surrounds their graves.
The Commonwealth war grave is from an airman, Flying Officer George W. Slee. He carried out a patrol flight on 11 May 1940 in his Hurricane from 17 Squadron. He was shot down by a Messerschmit Bf109.
