War Memorial Étalle

Monument to the First and Second World War on the side wall of the church, inaugurated on September 4, 1921.

Central part in white stone, bottom on blue granite. The names are on 2 stone slabs next to the stela. At the very top a gothic cross with a medallion below:
"Etalle
To his heroes
and his martyrs

In the center a bas-relief with a lion lying in front of a temple. Above the lion in the corner 2 angel figures. Below: "1914 - 1918"
At the bottom of the plinth:
"Etalle remembers with gratitude everyone who suffered for their freedom"

Left: 12 names
"Cowardly and brutally murdered by the German soldiers in the days of August 22 and 23, 1914"

Below:
Resistance fighters died for the homeland - 4 names
Civilian Casualty "- 1 name

Right:
"Death in the Field of Honor - 7 names
in the ranks of the Belgian and French armies for the defense of the homeland of law and liberty „

Below:
1940-1945
Soldiers who fell on the battlefield „- 3 names
