Maginot Line - Casemate d'Arneke
This French casemate of the Maginot Line can be seen on the right of the road between Cassel and Arneke.
This casemate was built at the end of 1939-beginning of 1940 in the second line in the Flandres sector. Only the concrete work was finished and no armor had been installed. The armament consisted of two 25mm anti-tank guns, one 8mm Hotchkiss machine guns. The anticipated dome had not been installed.
