Liberation Memorial Sint Geertruid

This Memorial is situated on the corner between Bukel and Julianaweg.

This is a Memorial in memory of the liberators of Sint Geertruid. Sint Geertruid is a town in Southern Limburg and is situated in between Gronsveld and Noorbeek. Sint Geertruid was liberated on the 12th and 13th of September by the 117th regiment of the 30th Infantry Division.

This regiment was escorted by the 113th squadron of the 113th cavalry group. This liberation was guided by the S2 of Luitenant-Colonel Locket, Major Ammons.
