War Memorial St. Andrew and St. Mary Church Stoke Rochford

This memorial in St. Andrew and St. Mary Church commemorates the residents of Cholmeley and members of the parish who were killed or missing in the First and Second World War.

These two memorial plaques and the banner are dedicated to the officers and men of 2nd Battalion, the Parachute Regiment. The upper Plaque commemorates the Arnhem Mission. The lower one the missions to Bruneval, North Africa and Sicily. This was the local church for the officers and men of teh 2nd Battalion before they went into combat.
