Ship Wreck HMS Port Napier (M 32)

The HMS Port Napier was a British mine layer, built in 1940. On 26 November 1940, the ship was loaded with 550 mines in preparation for her first operation. The next day, a fire broke out in the engine room and an internal explosion occurred. None of the mines exploded and have since been removed. The HMS Port Napier sank shortly after the explosion.
