Memorial Lodo van Hamel

The Memorial to Lodo of Hamel in Oosterzee was established in memory of the Frisian resistance fighter who was executed on June 16, 1941 on the moors near Laren by the occupier At the cemetery Driehuis-Westerveld his body is cremated. 1940-1945 Foundation has ensured that Lodo of Hamel has been a grave at the memorial cemetery in Bloemendaal.

Together with Van Hamel the following persons were captured on the 13th October 1940 while waiting for a seaplane:

- Jean Mesritz
- Marion Smit
- Professor Lourens Baas Becking
