The plaque contains the text:
This memorial was erected by members of 53rd (Welsh) Division in memory of their comrades who died in the fighting in North West Europe during the years 1944-1945. It was places here to commemorate the fact that the town of 's-Hertogenbosch was liberated by the division in October 1944 after bitter fighting.
The square behind the memorial is called the 53rd Welsh Division Square. There is an annual commemoration on October 27.
