Memorial Deportations Château de Sedan

This plaque at the Château de Sedan commemorates the deportation of 180.000 people from Belgium and France to Germany, between January 1917 and November 1918.

In World War I, the casle also served as a prison for 30.000 inmates and as an execution range for 8000 people.
