Former Synagogue Meppel

At the corner of the Jodenkerksteeg and the Touwstraat in Meppel are some remnants of racks from the Synagogue of Meppel. At the corner of the Jodensteeg (Jews Lane) and Touwstraat in Meppel is a painting from the Synagogue of Meppel.

The former Synagogue in Meppel is a reminder of the Jewish Community in Meppel.
During World War II, 232 Jewish residents were killed, only 18 people returned.
