Memorial Karel Doorman & Ship's Bell Hr. Ms. De Ruyter
This ship's bell was once part of the Hr. Ms. De Ruyter who sunk during the Battle of the Java Sea in 1942. More than 1000 sailors died, including Schout-bij-nacht (rear admiral) Karel Doorman.
The ship's bell and plaque can be found inside the Kloosterkerk.
