Prussian Monument

This monument, erected in 1818, commemorates the dedication of the Prussian troops during the Battle of Waterloo. When the Prussia arrived on the battlefield in the afternoon, this was of a determinant factor. On the monument stands the Iron Cross. It was introduced in 1813 by the king of Prussia, Friedrich Wilhelm III.

Text on the monument:

"Die gefallenen
Helden ehrt dank-
bar König und
Vaterland.
Sie ruhn
in Frieden.
Belle-Alliance
den 18. Juni 1815."
