Memorial Pomnik Czynu Polaków

Text on the memorial:

"Monument to the Polish Endeavour. Designed by sculptor Gustaw Zemla and made at the Mechanical Works in Warsaw, the monument was unveiled on 3 September 1979, on the 40th anniversary of Hitler's invasion of Poland. It is a tribute to generations of Poles who for a thousand years shaped the nation's history. The monument is a symbol of those who shaped Poland's nationhood since the beginnings of the Polish state, of those who are shaping it now and of those who will systain and strengthen it in the future.
