THIS CHAPEL OF ST MICHAEL WAS
REFURBISHED AS A MEMORIAL
TO THE MEN OF SUSSEX WHO
LOST THEIR LIVES AT SEA IN THE
SECOND WORLD WAR AND WHO
HAVE NO KNOWN GRAVE. IT
WAS DEDICATED ON 30 JULY
1956 IN THE PRESENCE OF
H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II AND
H.R.H. THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH
