Last Japanese Command Post
This bunker was the last command post of the Japanese defenders on Saipan and was captured on 9 July 1944 by the 4th Marine Division after heavy fighting. The large hole was caused by a direct hit from a shell fired by an U.S. battleship. In front of the bunker are many (Japanese) relics displayed.
