War Memorial St. Lawrence Church Downton

This memorial, within the St. Lawrence Church, commemorates the members of the parish who were killed or missing in the First World War and the Second World War.

The roll of honour commemorates the members of the parish who served their country in the Great War (World War I).

A second plaque commemorates Lt. John Reedham Erskine Berney, who gave his life on 24 July 1952 in the Korean War.

A third plaque commemorates Percy Woodford, who gave his life in March 1902 in the South-African War (2nd Boer War).
